“Brooks – The City of 100 Hellos” will air on CBC’s Documentary channel at 7pm ET this Sunday, February 26th.

Screening and Filmmaker Visit
Come to Angus Glen Library on March 3, 2012 to meet Canadian journalist and documentary filmmaker Brandy Yanchyk and view a screening of her new documentary “Brooks – The City of 100 Hellos”. This film explores how immigrants, refugees and temporary workers are changing and challenging the western Alberta city of Brooks.

Ms. Yanchyk grew up in Unionville and has been a Broadcast Journalist at BBC World TV, the BBC World Service and also a Reporter at CBC in Toronto, Edmonton and London, England. She will be discussing the making of documentary films and the immigrant experience in Canada.
